S&P 500 2026-Q3 Market Cap $68.45 Trillion

The market capitalization of the S&P 500 (Index: SPX) increased during the third quarter of 2026, rising 1.9% above where it finished in the second quarter.

That increase offset a decline in the combined market capitalization of the remaining 493 stocks of the S&P 500, which fell 2.4% from $42.69 trillion to $41.64 trillion.
