It is going to be an interesting day in the markets. Here are Bloomberg's futures for 9 November 2016 from 8:00 AM EST:

As for why the market will be experiencing this very noisy event, it is because American considered the prospect of Hillary Clinton becoming President of the United States, and despite her having every possible advantage going into Election Day, they had this reaction instead:

If only she had a track record of positive accomplishments or better yet, had offered a positive and compelling reason to support her candidacy in its final days, things might have turned out differently, but as history records, that did not happen.

So now, markets have to contemplate what "President Trump" means for the future. We're not sure anyone really knows....
